Samsung launched Samsung Galaxy U Smartphone. Samsung Galaxy U runs Android 2.1 OS.  A 3.7-inch AMOLED Plus touchscreen display that boasts a 480 x 800 pixels resolution and support for 16M colors is also included into the mix, along with a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and 720p HD video recording features. Samsung Galaxy U measures 119.5 x 59.6 x 12.4mm and weighs in at 131g. The phone is priced at $682 (Rs. 32,700 approx.) in Korea.

The name, ‘Galaxy U’ come from the fact that it has a ‘Unique’ grip design, ‘Ultimate’ display, ‘Utilitarian’ apps and ‘Ubiquitous’ features like Wi-Fi.
